"Bonacio" steelay model 

(1935 - 1937)

(Alto, Tenor, Baritone sax - Bb , Eb and Bass clarinet )

Born : September 04, 1903 in Mineo, Italy.
Died : January 10, 1974 in Clearwater, Florida.

Bennie Bonacio played in the bands of Lou Gold, Rudy Vallee, Paul Whiteman, André Kostalanetz, Morton Gould, Percy Faith and others.

The Conn Bennie Bonacio mouthpiece model was essentially a "standard" Conn Steelay with better hand finish: lay carrefully hancrafted, polished and double checked with fine precision gauges to insure perfect dimensions specially made by Conn workmen picked for their unusual skill and fine workmanship.

 Each mouthpiece for all instruments were available in 6 tip openings (Lay n°1 to n°6 ).

The "Bonacio" mouthpiece disappear from the 1938 Conn general catalog.
